Ralph Lake
Ralph Lake is 46.2 hectares with a maximum depth of 7.9 meters and a mean depth of 2.4 meters. Northern pike are the targetable fish species present. Ralph Lake also has a backcountry camping area. Because the access (Mossberry Lake Trail) was recently fixed up by Parks Branch, Ralph Lake is now the perfect backcountry lake for a family outing. Pike are plentiful in Ralph Lake so be prepared for catching high numbers of them.
**Due to the nature of difficulty regarding access on backcountry lakes, launch access areas are restricted to small watercraft only.
Access
Located 80.2 km from Swan River, MB off of PR #366 in the Duck Mountain Provincial Park. The distance from trailhead to Ralph Lake is 5.5 km. The lake is located along the Mossberry Lake ATV trail, which is minimally maintained by Manitoba Parks. Nowadays, the lake is most commonly accessed by ATV in the summer months, and snowmobile in the winter months. During dry periods, the trail is also promoted for use by hikers and cyclists. The trail may be unexpectedly closed following heavy rainfalls or during wet periods. It is recommended that the Park’s Office at Blue Lakes be contacted for trail updates and to Check-In if you intend to camp at any of the backcountry camping areas along the trail.
