Patterson Lake

Patterson Lake is 158.5 hectares with a maximum depth of 8.8 meters and a mean depth of 3.8 meters. Features present include an undeveloped boat launch, dock, non-modern washrooms, parking, informative signage and basic/electrical camping sites. Patterson Lake is an aerated waterbody therefore open water hazards exist during the winter months. Rainbow trout and brown trout are the targetable fish species present.

Patterson Lake is a “FLIPPR Lake”, whose mandate is to develop, create and sustain an abundance of world class stillwater trout fisheries in the Parkland. More information on FLIPPR can be found on the “Learn More” page. This aerated trout factory attracts anglers worldwide by producing giant bows and browns. During productive times between ice out (June and late September/October), the lake can be the central hub for trout anglers. Boat motors are limited to electric motor only.

The lake is located approximately 6.5 km north of the junction of Highways 45 and 21 at Oakburn, Manitoba (60 km from Russell).
