Nick Lake
Nick Lake is 3.4 hectares with a maximum depth of 16.1 meters and a mean depth of 4 meters. Brook trout are the targetable fish species present. This small lake does experience periodic winterkills, so be sure to contact the local angling community for lake updates.
**Due to the nature of difficulty regarding access on backcountry lakes, launch access areas are restricted to small watercraft only.
Access
Located 72.6 km from Swan River, MB off PR #365 in the Porcupine Mountain Provincial Forest. The distance from trailhead to Nick Lake is 5.5 km. The lake is located along a short hiking trail. The lake is most commonly accessed by foot in the summer months, or snowmobile in the winter months. Because of possible logging operations in the area, be sure to contact the nearest government office for updated information before using this road. This trail is not maintained, and therefore fallen trees may complicate passage.
