Elk Lake

Elk Lake is 107.5 hectares with a maximum depth of 3.2 meters. Northern pike and yellow perch are the most targetable fish species present with reports of the odd walleye. Elk Lake is very shallow and weed choked so if using an outboard you’ll likely spend more time cleaning out your prop than fishing.**Due to the nature of difficulty regarding access on backcountry lakes, launch access areas are restricted to small watercraft only.

Access

Located 94.6 km from Swan River, MB in the Duck Mountain Provincial Park. Just south of the Elk Lake inflow along PR #367 an approach to a ~800m trail will bring you to the old wayside park location. This will be the best place to launch a small watercraft.
