East Fish Lake
East Fish Lake is 36.6 hectares with a maximum depth of 9.7 meters and is home to a population of northern pike. The lake lies in a remote location of the Duck Mountain, and therefore receives very little fishing pressure. East Fish Lake is most commonly accessed in the winter as trail conditions are more favorable. Fishing reports from East Fish Lake commonly state that pike fishing was exceptional.
**Due to the nature of difficulty regarding access on backcountry lakes, launch access areas are restricted to small watercraft only.
Access
Located 87.4 km from Swan River, MB off of PR #367 in the Duck Mountain Provincial Forest. The lake is located along Designated Hunting Route L and can be reached from either end of Route L. ATV use is permitted on current designated routes under the Wildlife Act and Regulations. The distance from the park trailhead to East Fish Lake is 9.8 km. The lake is most commonly accessed by snowmobile in the winter months. This trail is not maintained but may be re-opened for logging operations in the future.
