Deep Lake

Deep Lake is 94.5 hectares with a maximum depth of 12.8 meters and a mean depth of 5.7 meters. Features present are an undeveloped boat launch, dock, bench and limited parking area. Targetable fish species present are walleye, northern pike and lake whitefish. This semi-remote lake is popular for the north mountain anglers as an alternative destination when fishing at North Steeprock Lake. This fishery has tons of underwater structure so bringing a fish finder can increase angler’s chances to locate both walleye and lake whitefish.
Access

Located 72.6 km from Swan River, MB on PR #367 in the Porcupine Provincial Forest. The lake is located along the National Mills Logging Road and is most commonly accessed by four-wheel drive vehicles in the summer months and snowmobile in the winter months. Because of possible logging operations, be sure to contact the nearest government office for updated information before using this trail. This trail is not maintained, therefore fallen trees may complicate passage.
