Wellman Lake

Wellman Lake is 425.9 hectares with a maximum depth of 17.6 meters and a mean depth of 4.1 meters. Wellman Lake has 114 developed cottages and 76 daily and 29 seasonal campsites within the Wellman Lake Provincial Campground. Targetable fish species present are walleye, smallmouth bass, northern pike and yellow perch. Angling facilities available are 3 established boat launches with docks, 2 filleting shacks, 1 filleting station, parking and informative signage. Wellman Lake is a spectacular angling destination supporting walleye, pike and bass… it’s hard to get bored while fishing this waterbody. Try casting “suicks” for large northerns in the spring, casting floating “raps” along weedlines for huge smallmouth in June, and jig for walleyes in late spring and late summer. Be sure to check out the “Research” page to view reports and summaries or contact the local Wellman Lake Lodge to gain yourself some angling insight.

Other great amenities are at Wellman Lake Lodge which provides 5 lakefront fully-modern rental cabins, full-service RV sites, boat/canoe/paddleboat rentals, laundromat, restaurant, convenience/grocery store, gas and much more. Wellman Lake Provincial Campground provides access to tennis courts, large beach area, playground, swimming area, parking, modern and non-modern washrooms, and full-service campground, hiking trail and so much more.
