Corstorphine Lake

Corstorphine Lake is 63.2 hectares with a maximum depth of 6.9 meters and a mean depth of 4.1 meters. Features present include an undeveloped boat launch, non-modern washrooms and some parking. Rainbow trout are the targetable fish species present. Corstorphine Lake is a “FLIPPR Lake”, whose mandate is to develop, create and sustain an abundance of world class stillwater trout fisheries in the Parkland. More information on FLIPPR can be found on the “Learn More” page. This trout fishery is also known as “fatty fish lake” by the locals because of the broad, thick rainbows produced here. Boat motors are limited to electric motors only and the lake is aerated therefore open water hazards do exist during winter months.
